Lana May won second place in the Bead Dreams competition 2006 for this necklace called "Antiquarian Silver Choker". The photos above were taken in Japan but online you can view her necklace at the Bead & Button online site under the Seed Bead Wearable category.

Elfleda Russell lives in Canada. This last year's Bead Dreams 2006 she won third place for her beadwork piece called "Starburst Necklace" in the seed bead category. The other beadwork design shown above is called "Janus For The Toucans".

The Japanese host was very gracious to send the participants photos of the exhibit. I am going to be showing the photos under the names of all the participants that I have pictures of their work.

First is the wonderful work of Liat Liechtmann of Israel. She has made a great piece called "Bird Scroll".

I was very happy to recieve an invitation to exhibit in Japan. The Japanese Association of Leisure and Cuture Development organized an bead artsit show introducing American artists to Japan.

The dates and location were:
March 14- 20, 2007 Daimaru Department Store
Shinsaibashi, Osaka
March 24- April 1, 2007 The Hakone Open-Air Museam
Hakone, Kanagawa
April 4-10, 2007 Matsuzakaya Department Store
Ginza, Tokyo

Daimaru Shinsaibashi is an upscale Department Store located along the main street of downtown Osaka.

The Hakone Open-Air Museum is the most famous museum authorized by the Japanese government featuring a pavilion of Picasso only exhibit space.

Ginza Matsuzakaya is an upscale Department Store located along the famous Ginza Avenue in Tokyo.
